Haven't been able to post for some time now due a very faulty internet connection. It's a dial up connection and doesn't seem to like Joanna's forum for some reason - oh well no accounting for tasteimage

Well we have survived the rain in that the house hasn't been flooded and I feel so sorry for those that have suffered this fate. The damage has been inflicted on our plants though and we have had to cancel orders for cut flowers for the time being. The one crop that has enjoyed all the rain is the potatoes and peas, the peas are growing as fast as the runner beans! The new potatoes are doing extremely well and have an abundance of tubers under their roots. We love them cooked and then butter melted over them and chopped chives sprinkled over the top. My DH's favourite veg is almost ready to be picked - broad beans! Yuck.
The yellow raspberries are also another heavy cropper and they are so sweet, the blackbirds don't touch them either so they don't need netting.

Well I have managed to control the lily beetle but not before they had laid eggs and I have spotted some of their repulsive larvae but have squished all those!.
Must away and do some card making!
