Can't believe it is almost a month since I last posted here, where has the time gone?
I also seem to be coming onto the forum later every day, there always seems a 101 other things I need to do like mowing the lawn before it rains againimageThe mower ran out of petrol just when I had a last bit of grass to mow and just as I was fetching the petrol can the thunder started to rumble and the rain fell. So many areas of the garden need the attention of the brush cutter now as the grass is too high to cut with the mower and the ants have taken advantage of the fact that the grass isn't being mown so often this year and have built humps above the grass. Weather permitting those little devils will be dug out and treated to a kettle of boiling water although we did have a green woodpecker on the lawn the other day busily attacking an ant nest. At 6.15 yesterday morning a young spotted woodpecker was being very noisy in the large oak tree we have in our garden and DH feared for his bee hives but he has now protected the bee hives with plastic compost bags pinned all down the sides so the woodpeckers can't land.
I caught the mole that was doing awful damage in one of the flower beds, the pesky critturs. Now we have fields surrounding us so why do the little blighters have to come in here and do their damage?
On a lighter note we have seen some glow worms, they are late this year probably because of the rain or we just haven't seen them - put off glow worm hunting because of the rain!

Yesterday I finally had a go at the H2O messy technique and I was surprised at how well it turned out for a first attempt!!I am so pleased with it that I shall be having another go as soon as I have more time. I also received some new stamps from Joanna's shop today, the new bauble stamps. I ordered a set of the round ones together with some EZ Mount so now all my unmounted stamps are mounted!! My next order to Joanna will be some of the long bauble stamps, they are all gorgeous though and choosing is difficult.

Enough drivel for the time being!
